23/24 LUCA XC III: Mitcham Common

We journeyed to Croydon this week for our third LUCA race of the season, and our second set of official LUCA results.

The women held onto their 3rd place LUCA ranking, with Nayana Jain racing spectacularly to finish 5th, and Laura Ogilvie putting in a very strong run to grab 12th place. They were followed by Charlotte Adamo in 16th, Maryam Hussein who had a superb race post-injury to finish in 28th, Abi Richardson in 40th, and Tahreem Sajjad in 69th.

On the men’s side, Liam Vandamme’s outstanding efforts earned him 2nd place, followed by an excellent race by Joe Thompson in 28th, Charlie McDevitt in 47th, Tommy Japes in 74th, and Phillip Walsh in 79th.

An extra shoutout to new recruit Bea Vincent-Ratti for her dedication as our club photographer in the January chill.

This wasn’t enough for Liam, who managed a 16:11 Parkrun season’s best on Saturday, or Laura, who cycled to Oxford in 5 hours three days later.
