Box Hill Fell Race 2024

As we all know, Medicine is an uphill battle, which mean that the Barts team were particularly well prepared for the Box Hill Fell Race. Unfortunately tickets sold out faster than Jacob Elordi’s bathwater, so only six members of the club ventured to Surrey on Saturday. Barts dominated the U23 men’s race, with captain Joe Thompson cinching 2nd place in a speedy time of 1:06:06, and four days to spare. Walter Buttery took 3rd U23 in 1:08:10, and was closely followed by Alex Ribera-Edwards in 1:13:52, and Charlotte Adamo in 1:19:45. Nayana Jain*, sporting shorter hair and broader shoulders than usual, put in an excellent performance for the senior women with 1:21:18, and Martin Leat**, in bib number 104, had an outstanding race for the over 60 men in 1:27:37. Congratulations all!

*rumours say this was actually Ned Whittle

**possibly Kev Oniscenko in disguise
